Lukowski could easily be listed as a runner here, too, as she set district’s Class 2A 100 record as a freshman in 2016 and took second in 3A’s 100 and 200 last year. But don’t ignore Lukowski in the field, where she’s the district’s top returning long jumper and triple jumper after taking second in both events last year. The 2017 triple jump champ has plenty of opportunities at a final gold medal (or more) before graduating. Also in the triple jump, Coughlin’s Le’June Berry (fourth place, 35-foot-5.5) and Wyoming Area’s Valerie Gerchak (fifth, 35-foot-0.25) will be tough to top in the WVC.
