Jay Monahan - Times Leader

Coach: Ed Lukowski

2018 Classification: 3A

2017 WVC record/finish: 7-9 (5th, Div. 2)

2017 Postseason: Lost to Meyers 4-0 in first round.

Key returners: Amiah Lukowski, Emily Hauer, Gabby Rakowski

Outlook: Ed Lukowski takes over a Trojans team that has been on the fringe of a break-out year. Nanticoke has been hampered by injuries each of the past few seasons, so attrition and depth will be key in the more competitive Division 1. Amiah Lukowski’s speed will be a factor on offense.

Matt Bufano - Citizens Voice

Coach: Ed Lukowski

2017 results: 7-10, lost to No. 9 Meyers, 4-0, in the District 2 Class 2A first round.

Players to watch: Senior - Amiah Lukowski, mid. Juniors - Emily Hauer, def.; Gabby Rakowski, def. Freshmen - Talli Ormes, mid; Alexis Atkins, mid.

Coach’s outlook: “With a lot of freshmen on our roster, we’re going to have to rely on the upperclassmen for leadership. Our success will probably depend on how quickly our freshmen mature.”
