Bus Transportation for Eligible Resident Students to Non-Public School

Under the guidelines issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education for operation under Act 372, requests for transportation for eligible students to a non-public school must be submitted by the non-public school in which the student is registered. Please contact the school that your child will be registering at to find out if transportation is provided from the Greater Nanticoke Area School District.

2 Hour Delay/School Closure

If Greater Nanticoke Area School District is operating on a 2 Hour Delay, transportation services will be delayed by 2 hours; regardless if their school is delayed or not. If Greater Nanticoke Area School District is operating on a FID Day or Snow Day, transportation services will not be in use; regardless if their school is operating.

Submitting Forms

A list of such pupils must be submitted by mail (427 Kosciuszko St. Nanticoke, PA 18634 Attn: Transportation), fax (570-733-1008), or by email to the Director of Transportation, Mrs. Nancy Potsko ([email protected]), no later than August 1st. Please include all individual student information regardless of which school the student previously attended. Failure to do so may result in incorrect bus assignment or in no assignment at all.

Bus Stops

Bus Stops are determined by the students’ home address; any change of address must be made at the child’s school so it may be forwarded to Greater Nanticoke Area School District Transportation Office to be updated. To ensure accountabilities for all our students, assigned buses & stops must be strictly adhered to. Please note: All times are approximate, and students should arrive at their bus stop 10 minutes prior to pick up time.
