K.M. Smith Announces Upcoming
Family Literacy Night
K.M. Smith Elementary School in Nanticoke will be holding its
annual Literacy Night for students and parents. This is an exciting
and educational night filled with a vast array of early literacy
activities that can be implemented at home to encourage good reading
habits. Dr. Seuss is the running theme for this year's event.
The Greater Nanticoke Area Family Center will present information
and include activities for non-school age children. Reading Coach
Joan Solano will be available with information on early literacy
development. The staff will be demonstrating different reading
activities from blending words to showcasing the new Apple iPads
that many of our classrooms are now using. This event will be
held on Wednesday, February 27th at 5:00pm and is open to the
students of K.M. Smith Elementary and their families. Members
