| Fast ForWord Program
Launched at K.M. Smith Fast ForWord is a new reading program that is being
launched at K.M. Smith Elementary School in the Greater Nanticoke Area School
District. The Fast ForWord program is a reading intervention program designed
for students that are struggling in reading. The computer-based program develops
and strengthens memory, attention, processing rate and sequencing----all skills
that are necessary to read. The strengthening of these skills results in a wide
range of improved language and reading skills. This program also supports the
existing curriculum in the district. First row, from left, are Christopher Puscavage,
Savannah Myers, Daniel Stritzinger, Preston Smedley, Allison Osbeck, and Alexis
Bourque. Second Row: Ryan Amos, Joan Solano, Paula Fine, Sharon Walters, and Tina
