| 4/4/2010 Nanticoke Area Baseball Capsule Times Leader 2009 WVC Record/Finish: 3-12, sixth place; Lost in D2 first round State classification: 3A Coach: Bob Bertoni Home field: High school, Kosciuszko St., Nanticoke Outlook: The Trojans enter the year with 10 seniors on the roster, half of whom played significant roles on last year’s team. Last season’s leading hitter, Robert Bertoni, is gone, but Nanticoke still has the majority of its lineup back for another year. A turnaround for the Trojans must start on the mound, as they gave up the most runs in the Wyoming Valley Conference in the 2009 regular season. Zach Lycett, Josh Lukaszewski and Jarad Kmietowicz all started games last year, with Lukaszewski having the most success. |
